Our vision

We like to go through old photo albums, our childhood ones and our parents’ youth ones. We have boxes full of pictures, there is always some professional ones in between, the perfectly placed child, the untouched clothes, the best smile, but those are never our favorite. We like the raw ones, the ones that make us remember how we felt, or that makes us imagine who our parents were deep down, the ones where we find the truest look, that one second in life captured forever.

We are not moved to take pictures with the Instagram algorithm in mind, (even though we all like some hearts), what we really want is to take pictures that future generations want to keep as a treasure, the portrait of the ones that were there before them, how they looked at each other, who was there with them, what was the gesture.

We find ourselves looking at our favorite photographers’ pictures, Larrain, Cartier Bresson, Koudelka, Vivian Maier... and thinking that we cant’t take those pictures nowadays because we have smarthphones everywhere instead of top hats and vintage cars. But then we think again and realize that we are observing those pictures with the privilege of time, that all those vintage cars where then just cars, that those long suits where just clothes. So having this in mind, the scene of your friends with their iPhones in hand taking pictures of you it’s even interesting. This is history too. And your history matters, we do care a lot for it.

Yours is a love story, it’s also a two families coming together story, a friendship story, a celebration, a ritual, a promise.

We have a double commitment, in one hand we want to document each moment of your day, creating a reportage of what happened, where it was, who was there and; by other hand, we want to catch the subtelness, the emotion, the poetry, how it felt in the skin to be there.
